About Online Training
On-line training is a convenient, effective mechanism allowing for all providers to receive the same message, at their leisure.
On-line training can be done virtually anywhere, 24-hours a day, 7-days per week, any day of the year!
All programs offered by the company are free to all employees of the company. Any employee simply logs in with their company provided user ID, chooses the program (s) to take and following the instructions provided for each program, completes the requirements, receiving the certificate of completion.
Part of the mechanism assuring identity is the company provided user ID log in; therefore only the person logged in can receive credit for programs taken.
Although the amount of users on at one time, taking any one program simultaneously is limitless, each program is designed to be a singular learning process therefore only the one person logged in should be taking any one program. The online educational system is not designed to be a collaborative process and all appropriateand acceptable processes assuring the integrity of the online educational programs must be followed.
As required by OEMS, any providers found to be using these programs or systems to intentionally receive ConEd hours in a many which would be considered dishonestly, wrongful or fraudulently will be reported to all appropriate OEMS departments and hours initially rewarded will be revoked.
All approval numbers assigned to the on-line program are issued by MA OEMS, upon successful completion of the program, the provider's information is forwarded to MA OEMS as an electronic roster. Please allow for a delay from the time MA OEMS receives this information until such time as they update their on-line provider database.
Please email or contact service quality with any issues within the site or with further questions.

Paramedic Systems was incorporated in the State of Rhode Island in 1986. In February of 1989 PSI purchased Alert Ambulance Service, of Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Alert was a small company of four vehicles, and twelve employees. During the past sixteen years Alert Ambulance Service has grown to include a corporate headquarters located in Fall River, Massachusetts and ten satellite locations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The Fall River location was opened in 1989, and began providing 24-hour seven day a week coverage to Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This location provides both advanced and basic life support ambulance transportation. In 1991, Alert purchased its first wheel chair van, and the Alert Chair Car Division was created. Also in 1991, John Moss became the sole owner and president of Alert/PSI. In 1992, a location was opened in Cranston, R.I. with a Wakefield, RI location following in 1995. The additional acquisition of Ocean State Ambulance in 1995 allowed Alert Ambulance to provide the South County area of Rhode Island with 24-hour advanced life support coverage. The purchase of Medi-Coach wheel chair van service in 1997 allowed for expanded chair-car service in the southeastern Massachusetts area.
In the spring of 2000 Alert was awarded the contract to provide ambulance transportation service to the Boston area Veteran Hospital. The advent of these contracts allowed Alert to expand into the greater Boston area, where in 2004 Alert opened it's 10,000 square foot facility in Hyde Park Massachusetts.
Alert made its largest purchase to date in December of 2005, acquiring Pathways Ambulance Service Ltd. Pathways was located in Central and Western Massachusetts. Included in the purchase were numerous contracts with municipalities to provide 911 and 911 backup services. With the purchase of Pathways, Alert Ambulance's service area includes all of Rhode Island and 10 out of 14 counties in Massachusetts.
In May 2008 Alert became the preferred provider for Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence RI. Alert grew in Massachusetts with expanded territories for our Veteran Hospital contract. In late 2008, Milford Whitinsville Regional Hospital stopped its paramedic intercept service, Alert responded by increasing its resources in the area. Alert has signed numerous backup/intercept agreements with the area municipalities and was awarded a contract with Milford Whitinsville Regional Hospital.
Alert continues to grow in Massachusetts and is expanding each year. Alert together with its employees strive to provide the best care possible for our patients.

RI Notices and Advisories Rhode Island is one of the service areas in which Alert not only has a strong presence in, however is the largest employee of paramedics in the state!
Paramedic Systems, Inc. was the very first ambulance provider to offer paramedic level care in the State of Rhode Island, in the Town of Bristol, Rhode Island. This task, back in the late 1980's was an incredible process in which the then Fire Chief of Bristol Fire Department, David Sylvaria, worked closely with John Moss and others to undertake this challenge. Protocols needed to be developed to address paramedic level care, licensing regulations and procedures needed to be written to address this change. Prior to paramedics, the chief primary ALS provider within Rhode Island was the EMT-Cardiac Level.
Although this task was as one can imagine, neverending, within 90-days from the inception of the idea and the commitement of the Bristol Fire Chief, paramedics were introduced to the prehospital setting and P-1, the Tonw of Bristol, RI. ALS intercept vehicle, was up and running for the Fourth of July Parade.
Paramedic Systems, Incorporated is preparing to celebrate 25-years of paramedic service to the Town of Bristol and the State of Rhode Island, P-1 is the orginal and longest running paramedic level unit in the state and ALL providers elligable for national registry certification and RI paramedic licensure are welcome to inquire about obtaining the opportunity for growth working on P1 within the Bristol Base of Paramedic Systems, Inc,.
